Fluffing for Spring!

One of my favorite bloggers, Rhoda, from Southern Hospitality, is hosting a linky party today. The theme? It's a Spring Fluffing Party! Woohoo! I'm so ready for Spring! And I love linky parties. It's so much fun to see what everyone has done. I always get tons of ideas!

The mission? To find a few areas in our homes and "fluff" them for Spring. Here's what I did.

This is the dining room. I clipped some branches off of my Bradford Pears in the back yard and stuck them in a vase. They are pretty just by themselves.

Or with Easter egg ornaments.

Some Gerbs I found at Dollar Tree. (I think the child proof edge around the hearth adds a nice touch, don't you?)

My SLAH Astoria Canisters

My entry table.

End table. I'm working on repainting the bird that came with this (got it at a garage sale.). I'll put it in or next to the cage when it's done.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

I can't wait to see everyone else's!!! Be sure to visit Rhoda's blog for all the links.

Amanda, everything looks beautiful! And thanks for the idea. I have 2 bradford pears in my front yard, and I'm gonna do the same thing. Those branches look great as a centerpeice. BTW, where did you find all those fabulous speckled eggs? Please do tell!

Love the blooming branches with egg decorations. I always did that for my kids when they were little -- the Easter bunny brought it along with their baskets. ;)

This all looks so cute. I particularly love the Easter eggs hanging from the branches and in the canisters. You are so creative. I am also wondering where you found those eggs?

And about the recipe, yes I made it up. I just basically thought about what spices I thought would taste good on breaded chicken and of course, added cheese. My hubby and I both thought that it would be a great way to make chicken for chicken parm because it had an Italian taste to it.

Hi, Amanda, I just love your pear branches brought in, now that's a simple thing to think about, but so pretty! Thanks for joining the party, I'm enjoying getting to know you!

Thanks everyone! The speckled eggs are from good ole Hobby Lobby. They came in a bag of mixed sizes for $4.99 and of course, I got them when they were 40% off, so I paid less than that. The canisters are Southern Living at HOME. My best friend sells it, so I have like every piece!

I love the title of your blog because I can so relate! All of your decorations are so pretty, but those vibrant flowers on the fireplace really make me smile. Great job and I find it hard to believe that you have any domestic disasters.
